Club Fixture and Rule book
Club fixture books are being printed and will ready for the start of the season – these will be handed out when you pay your membership.
Club nights
To encourage greater participation in social bowling and competitions, every Thursday night, during the season, will be a club night.
The format for the evenings will depend on the number of bowlers. Meet at the green at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start – first Club Night will be on 3 April.
This year, most club competitions will be run on a Thursday night – check the club noticeboard for dates and details of forthcoming competitions.
Bring along a friend
Douglas is always looking for new members for social or competitive bowling and if you know someone keen to try their hand, bring them along on a Thursday night.
Easter Egg Roll – Saturday 29 March 1pm for 1.30 start
Due to Easter being so late this year, the Easter Egg roll has been brought forward to Saturday 29 March – 1pm meet for a 1.30pm start.
The day will be run in the same way as previous years with a round robin format – a great way to get to know your fellow members. Entry £2 and everyone gets an Easter Egg with the winners getting larger eggs (if I haven’t eaten them all by then!).
We’ve booked good weather so come along for a roll – you can even pay your club fees then too! This year, we’re adjourning to the Woodbourne Pub after the Easter Egg Roll for a pre-season friendly drink.
Membership fees
Full members: £50, Juniors: £10, New bowlers: £35 for the first year.
