Here’s a copy of a letter received from Chris Holland about ladies’ code of conduct:
Dear Ladies,
Re: Code of Conduct – IOM Ladies Bowls
This is a reminder to ensure all club members adhere to the Code of Conduct in place for and on behalf of the Ladies and Men’s bowls.
I would like to remind all clubs that we have a duty of care towards all players, i.e. Men, Ladies and Children; we need to ensure that all individuals play in a friendly, sportsmanship manner to encourage any future bowlers within the sport.
If an incident occurs around on or the green a letter will be provided to the Team Captains to deal with the said incident or take appropriate action.
Please remember everyone is there to enjoy the game and whilst I appreciate, there is a desire to win your game, please try and remember this is a fun, upcoming and enjoyable sport and does not call for upsetting other club member.
I would be grateful if you could circulate this between all members of your club as any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
