What a day to forget my camera!!
Weather turned out to be brilliant. Thanks to Paula for ordering the sunshine and running the round robin. Great turnout. 30 runners and riders all eager to have a fix of chocolate.
Nice to see our new members joining in a joining up.
Winners of the Triples were the extra-ordinary combination of Pat Kelly, Jo Oldam and Paul Skelly. (Good to see the fella back at the Villa and still firing on all cylinders. Literally!) The result was actually decided by a one-shot shoot out between Roy Williams and Paul.
Winners of the Doubles was a close run thing with the pairing of Harley Garett and Steve Crampton running off with the big easter eggs.
Special prize of the day went to our youngest newbie, Glenn Boland who performed brilliantly all afternoon. His triples team tied with the winners but a one-shot shootout between Roy Williams and Paul Skelly decided the outcome of the Easter Eggs.
There’s a few run-outs for young Glenn in the C Team this year to help him with his preparations for the Manx Youth Games.
Thanks have to go to everyone who made it a brilliant day.
Let’s hope we have the same kind of turnouts for our Club Competitions throughout the season.
