Douglas Bowling Club to reopen

Guidance for Individuals and households

  • Members only can play
  • You must book your slot to bowl for track and trace purposes – do not turn up to the green without booking, even if you do not intend to play
  • Contact Paula on 411300 to book your slot
  • A maximum of one individual or household per jack
  • A maximum of 10 people and 4 jacks permitted on the green at any one time.
  • A maximum of 10 people (either on the green or spectators) around the green at one time.
  • Only use your own equipment brought from home (jacks, mats, bowls, etc.)
  • If a bowl should hit a bowl or jack from another game, you should retrieve your own bowl with the other bowler retrieving theirs.
  • Disinfect equipment before and after use
  • Follow strong hygiene practices at every opportunity – wash your hands when you get home
  • Keep strict social distancing measures in place – you must remain at a safe distance (2 metres) from people outside of your household
  • There are to be no social gatherings
  • Once you have completed your session, please depart as soon as you safely can to enable others to access the green
  • Once you have finished playing, any equipment that has been used by an individual to participate must be cleaned and sanitised. Hand hygiene should be observed by all participants before and after bowling.

DO NOT:

  • Do not enter the clubhouse, kitchen or toilets
  • Do not use club equipment
  • Do not turn up at the green without booking a slot.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:

  • Being careful about touching solid surfaces e.g. gates, doors, etc.
  • Wash your hands as soon as possible, avoid touching your face and take hand sanitiser with you to use while out if possible.
